Going to the bathroom (pooping)

MSJohnKMSJohnK Member Posts: 1
I've been bed ridden for at least 2yrs now and so far I've managed, with help to go to the bathroom with help from an aid who has been willing to use an enema and his finger to get the feces out, which he does by lifting me onto the toilet. Using such methods is relatively recent but I'm sure it is only become more difficult over time.

My aid will be going to be away for 2 weeks. How do I find someone who is willing to take these measures? And while I am asking what do others do to defecate and what do you do when you are totally bedridden? Are there agencies that are willing to send someone to the house. Any suggestions? I live in Nassau Long Island if someone from there might know where to go.
