Funny Stuff

There should ve a thread somewhere, or maybe a whole category for funny stuff. Jimmy Buffet sang about it "if we don't laugh we would all go insane"  I bring this up because I just caught myself doing something that I find hillarious. Waiting for dinner this evening, I decided to work a Soduku puzzle to pass the time. I  accidentally took too much Baclofen this morning and I have been fighting the effects since this morning.  Baclofen makes me nod off much like narcolepsy and at a minimum makes me feel a little loopy. I am not likely to get any time score bonus points on this particular puzzle.  In fact, typing this post has been a chore while under the influence of Baclofen.

Well alrighty then, I thought maybe a few folks would chime in based on my original post.  However, I may be the only buffoon on the board, but I doubt it.

We finally installed hardwood flooring in the living room since my powerchair is hard on the carpet and maneuvering the Hoyer is easier. We put down a 9'X11' area rug and patted ourselves on the back admiring our interior decorating skills.  The next day, someone rang the door bell and I zipped over to the door, but I got the area rug caught up in the wheels on my chair.  Couldn't go backwards, couldn't get the rug out, but could still go forward.  You know that in a lot of cases that just because you can, doesn't mean you should.  I went forward and me, my chair, and our new rug was lodged in the doorway.

We couldn't come up with any options other than calling the fire department until I got the bright idea to use the Hoyer backwards to get me off the chair so we could get the rug out of the wheels and get everything and everybody back inside and out of the doorway.  So far none of the neighbors has claimed to have seen us struggling.  It must have been quite a sight.
