On July 2018 our 5 year old son Jahsua Tavarez was attacked by a virus infection that caused nerve damage in his spinal cord (also known as Acute Flaccid Myelitis), causing paralysis on his legs. 10 months later and we are blessed to have him alive and happy. He is truly charismatic and compassionate for others. He continues to enjoy art and science. He is excited to be enrolled in a adaptive basketball team and be able to meet other kids like him. We have met so many people with a spinal cord injury and we love our extended family. There are so many people out there that are truly inspirational by finding joy after their injury. Please remember that your story gives hope to people like us who is now part of this life changing journey.  Because of your story, you have shown us that our son can be loved, have a family, obtain a degree, and be filled with so much joy. Let's continue to inspire others and show them that life rolls on...💪❤
