    Travel!
although now restrictions are back in force for California.
I have people in my life at each end of the spectrum, I’m doing what I can to keep me and family safe. One nice thing has been family bonding time, lots of time.

My dad doesn't do all he can to prevent the rest of my family from getting sick. He knows that me being quadriplegic puts me at high risk, yet he continually goes out at times when it's not even essential. He has stage IV prostate cancer, so he is also at high risk. Today for instance, he went to visit my older sister. She and her boyfriend work at the post office and she tells me that some of her coworkers refuse to wear masks while they work. I also saw a video recently of her boyfriend doing a podcast with his friends, and all of them were together in the same room with no masks, not 6 feet apart. Yet my dad still decides to go visit her today without wearing a mask or social distancing. He calls me overly sensitive and paranoid whenever I voice these concerns to him, and even after he promised he would not do stuff like that anymore, he still does, like today. I have to rely on him for my care half of the time, so it puts me in the position of basically relying on him for a lot of care, yet being really wary about being around him and living with him. It's not a fun position to be in and although I wish I could live somewhere apart from him for the duration of the pandemic at least, I have no real choice in the matter right now. All I can say is that I am genuinely afraid for myself and my family and his actions multiply that fear exponentially.

Has your dad been more careful around you since your post in July?? That’s a tough situation to be in!

@ambercollie No, he isn't acting any differently. I'm just anxious 24/7

I’m sorry that you are in that scenario, does your dad wear a mask when doing your care? Do you take vitamin C or airborne, things that can boost your immune system?
Be as safe as you can but try hard not to be anxious that will where you down. Go outside and get extra sleep if possible, hang in there!

@ambercollie My dad doesn't wear a mask in the house. I recently started drinking emergen-c daily. Thanks though, I will try, I have problems managing my anxiety.
