Team Hiking- White Mountains of NH
Twenty years ago, the Appalachian Mountain Club made some of their huts accessible. My husband Geoff, then only 30 years old and five years out from his spinal cord injury was part of their adventure up to Galehead Hut, where they were featured on the cover of the New York Times. The adaptive sports program who coordinated was North East Passage out of the University of NH-- they recently created this video of the event to showcase how far technology and adaptive equipment can get people with wide ranging disabilities out into the woods. Please check it out!
