How I maintain a positive attitude!

in Quadriplegic
Over the last few years I’ve realized how important it is to have a strong positive focus and minimal negativity around you. It’s beyond easy to get in a bad mental state because of the negative situations in your life. What I’ve learned that helps me through certain situations is to have a “short memory” which allows me to not dwell whatsoever on the negatives.
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “ignorance is bliss”... And it’s usually used with a negative connotation in mind, but I use this mentality towards only the bad energy and negativity weighing on my mind. I don’t give it the time of day. I experience a situation or a feeling and then make a conscious decision to fully leave it in the past and not let it affect me or my attitude moving forward.
Now this isn’t necessarily the right way to deal with the situations going on in your own life but using this mentality has allowed me to keep strictly positivity pumping through my veins and a smile on my face day after day.
So maybe it will work for you.
